Hey, I'm a 25 year old American male hoping to relocate to Barbados by the end of the winter. I have a two year old son & I'm currently engaged. I currently have my bachelor's in Economics, bachelor's in Accounting and a Masters in Banking & Finance. How easy would it be for me to get a job?

My son is two, would he need schooling? What are the best pre-schools?

How much would a 3 bedroom 2 bath go for?

What are the natives like? Is it easy to make friends? Where would you go to make friends?

You could start by looking up the requirements for getting a work visa and for immigration at the official Barbadian government website. Do you have a skill or experience that is in critical need there? You'll want to check on any requirements that you periodically return to the US to renew your visa.

You could get an idea of real estate values by going to a Barbadian real estate website.

You might want to do a search on "relocating to Barbados".

Hint: I don't think it will be so easy to make friends if you call the people there "natives". Some people object to the term.

Do not move there until you find a job. You have a family and that family have to be provided for by you. We can not tell you how long it would take to get a job because we do not know the answer to that question. I would suggest that you obtain a job before going there.
