want to plan a trip for Barbados 2011. Due to it being 2 years away i need to know the steps i need to take to try to plan the trip. in the past i have planned group trips a year out. it is usually about 20 ppl. 10 rooms. i want to do it for 2011 so ppl have plenty of time to save money and would love to go during some type of festival, R&B, or jazz fest. Only the All inclusive route please. Any help finding a good travel agent in Maryland would help too.
Any help would be much appreciated

Barbados is an excellent place to be spending with your people especially that many. It's advised to plan a lot in advance to booking flights and hotels. However, a complete package would be cheaper than separately. It also depends on length of stay and also time of the year.

Apple Vacations has the Balti-Wash International airport to fly out as well as returning. However, they only have up to 2010 thus far in terms to booking. I believe some websites do bookings a year early for travels to happen in the next year or something.

There's also FunJet Vacations to look into:

Barbados offers basically everything that there's a lot to do and see especially CropOver which is basically all summer. There is Oistins, known as the fishing town where locals and tourists come to eat the famous dishes such as flying fish as well as some dancing.

Nightlife is seen in St. Lawrence Gap as well as among Bay Street and in Holetown.

Be sure to select all inclusive in that matter or when it shows listing(s), make sure it's read all inclusive but I'm sure you know all that anyway.

Hope this helps.

You did not say if it is all adults because some all-inclusive are adults only. We do not have a R&B festival and the Jazz Festival is during the month of January.

I highly recommend our annual festival, it portrays our culture. It is the Crop Over festival. That usually starts early in May but intensifies and then culminates the first Monday in August with a street parade. You did not state how long you will be here for but at least two weeks in the month of July and including the Monday in August should be enough.

There are many all-inclusive hotels, these are a few.

Some others are here including Almond Casuarina which is very near to the night life (St. Lawrence Gap). Included in this is the adult-hotel which is the Club and Spa.

You can also book your flight online as well as it might be cheaper. You can also go to the hotel site and book the rooms or just email them and ask advice.

As it is two years away you can just save the money in the mean time. At the beginning of the year you can reserve the hotel accommodation as the hotels tend to be booked very early. Book your trip early too as you might not get any if you wait too late. Have enough money to go to the different fetes(parties) and for drinks.

As it relates to accommodation, there is a lovely resort in Barbados called The Barbados Beach Club.

http://barbadosbeachclub.com/

The Barbados Beach Club is an all inclusive resort which offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, an exercise room, pool aerobics, snorklling, scuba diving lessons, windsurfing, hobie cat cruises, beach volley ball, games room and soooo much more. The activities that are included in this all-inclusive package are astounding.

The Barbados beach club has 3 restaurants on site and one of them is buffet the other two are a la carte. The two a la carte are seafood and the other is Italian.

This is a wonderful resort in a wonderful island; you should come and explore it for yourself my friend.

Barbados is a romantic island in the Caribbean.

Hope I helped!

I am not in maryland, but I am a travel agent in Philadelphia, and I still believe that I can help you. First off, it is impossible to try booking this early because hotels have not released rooms this early yet. But, by working with a travel agent, we sometimes can get hotels to honor the current prices for group travel. I would love to help. please e-mail me at sboone1119@yahoo.com
